Le sfilate delle grandi case di moda fanno notizia anche per le straordinarie location che le ospitano. L’ultimo evento mozzafiato è stato senza dubbio la Cruise 2018 di Louis Vuitton, tenutasi nei giorni scorsi in Giappone: le modelle hanno sfilato su un ponte sospeso nel vuoto che collega due montagne immerse nel verde nei pressi di Kyoto. Il ponte fa parte della struttura del Miho Museum, progettato nel 1997 dall’architetto Ieoh Ming Pei, lo stesso che ideò la piramide del Louvre.
Non è certo la prima volta che le maison cercano di stupire con ambientazioni eccentriche. Per esempio, Karl Lagerfeld, qualche anno fa, trasformò la passerella di Chanel in un aeroporto con tanto di check-in all’ingresso per gli ospiti. Mentre Givenchy sorprese pubblico e giornalisti durante lo show autunno/inverno 2016 con le modelle che sfilavano all’interno di un labirinto di legno realizzato per l’occasione.
