Il matrimonio tra il principe Harry e la sua Meghan sarà seguito il 19 maggio da milioni di sudditi britannici e desterà comunque curiosità anche nel resto del mondo. E sarà anche, come già è avvenuto per i precedenti Royal Wedding, l’occasione per varie operazioni di marketing, più o meno furbe. Vince, ovvero vende di più, chi ha l’idea più originale per sfruttare l’eco mediatica dell’evento. E in questa direzione si è mosso Will Calvert, direttore della Windsor & Eton Brewery, birrificio che si trova a due passi dal castello di Windsor, il quale ha ideato e messo in vendita una birra ideata appositamente per le nozze reali e l’ha chiamata in modo molto chiaro e didascalico: Harry e Meghan sposi a Windsor.
Mister Calvert sostiene di aver creato una ricetta speciale: “Sarà una birra di tipo Pale Ale, molto tradizionale, fatta con orzo cresciuto sulle terre della famiglia reale, combinato con del luppolo proveniente dalla West Coast degli Stati Uniti. In poche parole, abbiamo realizzato anche noi un connubio anglo-americano, sposando l’orzo di Windsor con il luppolo Made in Usa“.
Si prevede che questa birra (ma anche tutte le altre, molto più comuni e banali) scorrerà a fiumi il giorno dell’evento, quando i locali potranno restare aperti due ore in più rispetto al solito. Il 19 maggio sono attese fino a 100 mila persone a Windor e i proprietari dei vari pub già stanno facendo i conti, cantando God Save Harry & Meghan.
